1. About Holarctic Bridges
Holarctic Bridges provides environmental, biodiversity, social, climate, sustainability, and field-based educational services, resources, events, and related products.
We are based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and may work with clients, partners, experts, and customers in Canada and internationally.
2. Use of This Website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the website’s operation, security, or accessibility.
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website;
- misuse forms, checkout, or payment systems;
- copy, reproduce, or redistribute website content without permission;
- use this website in a way that may harm Holarctic Bridges or other users.
3. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and up to date. However, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or free from errors.
We may update, remove, or change website content, product information, event details, prices, or availability at any time without notice.
4. Events, Workshops, and Field Experiences
Holarctic Bridges may offer events, workshops, field walks, educational sessions, or other field-based experiences.
Event details, including date, time, location, duration, price, and group size, will be provided on the relevant event page or product listing.
By registering for an event, you agree to:
- provide accurate registration information;
- follow event instructions and safety guidance;
- arrive prepared for outdoor conditions, if applicable;
- respect natural areas, wildlife, other participants, and event leaders;
- understand that outdoor events may involve weather, uneven terrain, insects, plants, wildlife, and other natural conditions.
We may reschedule, modify, or cancel an event due to weather, safety concerns, low registration, instructor availability, or circumstances beyond our control.
5. Educational Purpose of Events
Events and field experiences are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
For mushroom-related events, participants should not consume any wild mushrooms unless identification has been confirmed by a qualified expert and proper safety guidance has been followed. Holarctic Bridges is not responsible for personal mushroom collection, consumption, preparation, or use after the event.
Participation in outdoor or field-based activities is voluntary. Participants are responsible for their own safety, personal belongings, and decisions during and after the event.
6. Products and Online Store
Our online store may offer products such as calendars, greeting cards, art prints, canvas prints, educational materials, or other nature-inspired items.
Product descriptions, images, prices, production timelines, and availability are provided on each product page. We try to represent products accurately, but colours, textures, and print appearance may vary depending on screen settings, printing methods, materials, and product format.
Some products may be printed to order. This means the item is produced after the order is placed and may require additional production time before pickup, delivery, or shipping.
7. Orders and Payment
By placing an order, you agree to provide accurate billing, contact, and delivery information.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce Payments, or other services. We do not directly store full credit card details on our website.
An order confirmation does not guarantee that an order can be fulfilled if there is an error in pricing, availability, shipping, product setup, or payment processing. If we are unable to fulfill an order, we will contact you and may issue a refund where appropriate.
8. Prices and Taxes
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change at any time without notice. Applicable taxes, shipping, delivery, or processing fees may be added at checkout where required.
9. Shipping, Delivery, and Pickup
Shipping, delivery, or pickup options will be shown at checkout or communicated to the customer where applicable.
Estimated production and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to printing, fulfillment, weather, carrier delays, holidays, or circumstances beyond our control.
Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. Holarctic Bridges is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect customer information.
10. Refunds, Returns, and Cancellations
Refunds, returns, exchanges, and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and, where applicable, our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
For printed-to-order products, returns or refunds may be limited unless the product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
For events, refund eligibility may depend on how far in advance the cancellation is requested, whether the event is rescheduled, and the specific terms listed on the event page.
Ontario guidance notes that return/exchange policies are often set by the business, and customers should review the seller’s policy before purchasing.
11. Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the issue.
We may offer a replacement, refund, or other resolution depending on the situation, product type, and fulfillment process.
12. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, images, photographs, designs, graphics, logos, documents, educational materials, product designs, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Holarctic Bridges unless otherwise stated.

You are responsible for the content of any message, file, CV, resume, portfolio, or other material you submit.
We may contact you using the information you provide for purposes related to your inquiry, order, event registration, collaboration request, or customer support.
