Elena is a seasoned environmental professional with 40 years of experience spanning the roles of researcher, conservation biologist, and ecosystem program manager. She specializes in bridging complex biodiversity science with international development policy, ensuring that large-scale infrastructure and resource projects meet the highest environmental standards.

- Environmental Safeguards: Extensive experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), and the design of Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) in line with International Financial Institution (IFI) requirements.
