This is a guided tour for those who want to know more about mushrooms in Ottawa Valley. The middle of July is a time when the first summer edible mushrooms appear in forests. We hope to see several species of chanterelles and we'll try to learn how to identify edible and poisonous species of mushrooms.

This guided tour is for those who like to explore new places. We'll meet in the center of Ottawa near Dow's Lake at 8:30 am and we'll go together to the Gatineau area from there. CPAWS-OV is proud to offer our staff and volunteer team frequent professional development opportunities. Since many of our team members spend time outdoors and in the field, we are offering a wilderness first aid course for volunteers, program participants, and staff on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 at our Executive Director’s farm in Mayo, Quebec. The trip is scheduled from  September 2 to September 5 with a 1-night stay in Quebec City and 2-nights in the Tadoussac area. This is a tour to explore nature and to know more about the history and nature of Quebec.
